Must-Haves for My Workspace

Image
Working from home means the sky's the limit when it comes to making your workspace your own. But it also means that you can't take a casual walk around the office to see how everyone else made their space work. So instead, I'm here to share with you the things that I have to help my home office run smoothly. 1. Letter Sorter I don't necessarily use it to sort letters, though your certainly can; instead, I use it to keep within eye-sight things that need my attention. I have documents concerning brand deals, checks to deposit, and even my home planner in mine. 2. Dry Erase Board Here is where I write down any small thing that comes up that needs my attention. For example, if I'm in the middle of working on something and just realized something else I need to get done, I'd jot it down on my white board above my desk so I don't forget. Here I also write down people I'm actively working on travel quotes for. 3. Notepad Having a notepad within easy reach is

My Wish List

Image
My birthday is coming up in about two weeks, and I am really looking forward to actually getting to celebrate in person with my friends and family this year. Before all that can happen, though, my family and my in-laws are requesting that I provide them with a birthday wish list.  Now, in the past when April rolled around, I would sit down to compile a wish list and promptly forget everything I had wanted over the course of the year. So, over the years, I've gotten smarter about it. I've started keeping a running wish list, which I now sit down with at the beginning of April and finalize, taking off anything I no longer want, and adding on any last minute items that I come up with.  So, for everyone struggling to come up with ideas for their own wish list, or who is simply curious as to what I'm asking for, here is my birthday wish list for this year. YouTube I divide my wish list into sections to help with readability. Furthermore, the items in each section are prioritized

Spring Cleaning 101

Image
Spring is a time of renewal, a time for fresh starts, and a time to finally knock out all that cleaning you've been putting off for a year now. But where to start? And what all needs to be included? There are a lot of spring cleaning checklists out there, but how do you know which one is right for you? I'm not here to provide you with a checklist for spring cleaning. Like I said above, there are a lot already out there. I'm here to provide you with some tips and tricks to make spring cleaning work for you. Set Realistic Goals How much time do you have to dedicate to spring cleaning? If spring is your busy time, it's probably best that you don't plan a huge project that entails moving all your furniture to deep soak your carpet and sorting through every last object you own. Realistically, you don't have the time for that.  So, sit down and figure out how much free time you have, and how much of it you want to set aside solely for cleaning. And schedule that tim

My Favorite Easter Desserts

Image
Easter is nearly here, so I thought I would share with you some of my favorite Easter dessert recipes. None of these are original to me; they are simply recipes I have found and liked enough to share. No-Bake Mini Egg Easter Nests This is an adorable Easter twist on the classic rice krispie treat. Aside from how cute these are, I love this dessert for 2 reasons: 1. In my family rice krispie treats are a staple of every get-together. 2. Cadbury Mini Eggs are my favorite Easter treat. These are super easy to make, and they can be done with either Cabury Mini Eggs or Robins Eggs. Easter Dirt Cake     I have such fond memories of eating dirt cake as a kid, and this cake definitely lives up to them. Who wouldn't love the addition of marshmallow peeps - I know I prefer them to the classic gummy worms. The M&Ms in this dessert could also be replaced with your favorite mini eggs, if you prefer. Easter Gooey Butter Cookies   Gooey butter cookies are my go-to dessert to make for every

Easy Food Hacks I Learned from TikTok

Image
What doesn't TikTok have? Dances, memes, advice, and of course, food. In my latest YouTube video, I took to the kitchen to put to the test some of the best-looking food hacks I've found on TikTok. The first hack I tried was the smiley face bread. This one is very simple, and I was fairly pleased with the results. You use your finger to press down and make indents in the bread in the shape of two eyes and a mouth. Because that part of the bread is indented, it doesn't get toasted to the same degree as the rest of the bread, so you're left with a smiley face. It's a very cute hack that's great for parents of young kids, or even people in their twenties or thirties who are entertained by bread with a smiley face on it. No judgment here! It's easy to do and hard to mess up - my kind of hack! The second hack is probably the most useful that I tried. If you need to butter your cute, smiley face toast, but your butter is cold, you can shred the butter to make it

What's In My Purse?

Image
I haven't always had the greatest organization system when it comes to my purse. Quite the opposite, actually. Sure, I might have had some idea of how to organize it in the beginning, but then I always ended up just tossing things in there and making a mess. I'm not sure when exactly that changed, but now I won't even buy a purse until I know I'll be able to keep everything organized in it. I really like the layout of my current purse. It has two small, open pockets on the front side; a zipper pocket on the backside; and the main part of the purse is divided into three sections, two open sections separated by a zippered section. I particularly like the way the main body of the purse is designed because I've always been torn between the convenience of an open purse and the security of a zippered purse. This one is the best of both worlds. Here's what all I carry with me: In the small, open pockets on the front, I have a few of the smaller items that I migh

A Letter to My Younger Self

Image
I've learned a lot in my 26 years of life, and I have definitely changed a lot over the years. Recently, I've come across the question of if I could tell my younger self anything, what would it be? I'm not claiming to be incredibly wise, but nevertheless, I thought I would document my advice to my younger self here, so that maybe someone else can benefit from what I've learned. Dear Breanna, Stay true to yourself. Your value comes from within, not from anyone else's perception of you. It doesn't matter if you say the wrong thing, keep talking. It doesn't matter if people don't want to listen, find someone who does. Be loud, be bold, and if anyone has a problem with that, you don't need them in your life. And I do mean anyone. It may be sad to say goodbye, but for every false friend you lose, you'll gain 5 true friends. Don't let anyone ever make you feel lesser. Don't change your thoughts and feelings to fit what someone else thinks they
